Borgsom (Waarborgsom)
Een geldbedrag dat je bij het tekenen van het huurcontract betaalt als zekerheid voor de verhuurder. De borgsom bedraagt meestal 1-3 maanden huur. Bij een goed achtergelaten woning krijg je de borgsom terug na vertrek. Laat de staat van de woning bij oplevering vastleggen.

Security Deposit
A sum of money you pay when signing the lease as security for the landlord. The deposit is usually 1-3 months' rent. When you leave the property in good condition, you get the deposit back after departure. Have the condition of the property documented upon handover.
