The annual increase in rent. For social housing, the maximum rent increase is legally determined (inflation + potential surcharge). In the private sector, the landlord may increase rent per the contract, provided it is reasonable. You can object at the Huurcommissie.

De jaarlijkse verhoging van de huurprijs. Bij sociale huur is de maximale huurverhoging wettelijk vastgelegd (inflatie + eventuele opslag). In de vrije sector mag de verhuurder de huur verhogen volgens het contract, mits redelijk. Je kunt bezwaar maken bij de Huurcommissie.
